Working Together
SlaterGraphics is an independent studio, owned and run by designer James Slater with a small team of experts. No account managers, no hidden middle layer — so here's exactly how a project runs and how payment works.
Who you're paying
Every invoice from us is issued by SlaterGraphics — owner James Slater. Your money goes to the small team doing the work: the designer, the filmmaker, the photographer, the editor on your project. There's no agency markup funding a sales floor.
Because we're small, we keep the money side plain-spoken. You'll always know the number before we start, what it covers, and what would change it. If anything about a quote or an invoice is unclear, call or text James directly — you'll reach a person, not a billing department.
The Process
You talk to James, not an intake form. We cover what you're building, when you need it, and what success looks like. No charge, no obligation.
You get a fixed scope and a fixed price in writing — deliverables, formats, revision rounds, and timeline. Nothing starts until you've approved it.
A 50% deposit reserves your dates on our calendar and covers the work we front. Because we're a small team, we only take on a limited number of projects at a time.
Design, shoot, edit. You see work in progress and give notes at the revision rounds written into your quote — no surprise change orders.
The remaining 50% is due on approval, and your final files, formats, and guidelines are released in full. You own the work you paid for.
Payment
Whichever method you choose, put your project name or invoice number in the note so we can match it to your file.
Most clients pay by invoice, sent by email from SlaterGraphics. Card, bank transfer, and check are all accepted. Businesses can have a W-9 on request.
For smaller projects and deposits, we accept Zelle or Apple Cash at 305-310-0107 — fast, and it keeps processing fees off your total.
Larger builds can be split into milestone payments across the project. Ask James when you're quoted — we'd rather structure it than lose the work.
A note on safety. The only payment details we use are the ones on this page and on the invoice we send you from SlaterGraphics. We will never call, text, or email asking you to send money to a different name, number, or account. If anything looks off, stop and call us at 305-310-0107.
Straight Answers
James Slater leads design and creative direction on every project, with a small team of filmmakers, photographers, editors, and strategists brought in for what your project needs. It isn't outsourced overseas or handed to juniors.
No. It's an independently owned studio — deliberately small, so senior people stay on the work and you keep one point of contact throughout.
A deposit books your slot and covers the work we front before delivery. A small studio can only run a few projects at once, so the calendar has to mean something.
Every quote includes revision rounds, and we don't consider a project done until you've approved it. If we're truly not the right fit, we'd rather talk it through early than take money for work you won't use.
Yes. On final payment you receive the deliverables, working formats, and usage guidelines listed in your quote, and the work is yours to use everywhere you need it.
